Well, our mechanic called after he got home from spending the weekend at the farm. He hit three blackbirds right after taking off from our runway. A flock of birds got confused and scattered in front of him. He said one went through the prop, one hit the wing and I can't remember where the other hit. No damage to the airplane, but he said yucky stuff (blood, guts and more) was all over his canopy and the rest of the Pitts.

I was shooting a video of his take-off and lost him just as it happened. We got a good video shot of his landing on the short runway at the farm yesterday. Wind was gusting to 30 KTS and there was low level wind shear. Dang, he's good.

You acro pilots look like you're having entirely too much fun. I've got to try that sometime (in my copious free time :D ).
