Bird on a Wire

I've often said that aircraft technology lacks the ability of landing on a wire.

My dear sir, haven't you heard about the Brody Gear? Army was landing Cubs on wires 60 years ago....

I've often said that aircraft technology lacks the ability of landing on a wire. Well, I guess we can't say that anymore. Wonder how they got down? A bucket truck would light up the whole scene at 72,000 volts.
The power company knows how to shut off power to lines in its grid. (Depending on the dynamics of the plane as it contacted the wires, it may have already arranged for that to happen automatically!)

A bunch of people may be without power for a while, but the plane (and people) can be safely removed.

Which one is the drunk in a midnight choir? ;)
