Just on PoA. @murphey ?I imagine CAP uses binos from aircraft. Know any CAP members?

Nope, CAP doesn't use binos in the air. Field of vision is really tiny, too much vibration, and besides, we're flying 500-1500 AGL depending on the terrain and weather. Don't know about the ground teams.Just on PoA. @murphey ?
Wow, major typo! The Kern binos are 8x30, not 8x50. Sorry! My grandfather was an amateur photograph hobbyist. He had all kinds of lenses for his ALPA 35mm bodies, ranging from 300mm to 18mm, all Swiss made, bought new in the 1950s. He also bought a 7x50 pair of binoculars made by Kern, one of the best quality lens manufacturers at the time. I still have it. Nothing fancy, but wonderful optics!

When Vortex came out with the Razor HD line, a lot of long range shooters swapped out Schmid and Bender. Even more so with the Razor HD II.As far as Vortex optics, they offer a lot of value for the money. I see many of them on rifles at long range target competitions with plenty of Vortex spotting scopes as well. Nightforce and March dominate though, but require a substantial investment in capital.
