Hell, I couldn't afford the property tax that would be due on the thing every year.

2700 Square Feet was more than I could take care of. I have no idea what I would do with 20,000 sq ft.

Bolingbrook Schools-->Hinsdale Central, pretty good stuff.

But I've been in the strip. It's too short (Mooney M20J). Trees at both ends. Noplace to go if a problem. But otherwise, very, very nice.

Not an airport home, Mike; but not far from SDL Scottsdale or DVT Deer Valley(Phoenix). Less congestion than Chicago.

Nope -got it from one of the auctioneers I use - he knew I was a pilot (but obviously didn't know how little I made!!)
 
There is a home for sale as Casa De Aero not too far from me with hanger going for $500,000. We looked at it but I do not like having a that high of a mortgage. I live pretty simple now and with just two of us I did not need a giant dust collector.
