Everything Offends Me
I got the best thing ever last night.

Preface this post with another post: http://www.pilotsofamerica.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25575

My grandfather's last flight. I was able to take him up about 6 months before he passed away, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life.

Last night, I received a package from my aunt with all of the flight stuff she could find of his. In this package is the following:

Jeppesen E6B, Circa 1960
Flying Tips Cards with old school tips
Dallas Sectional expired March 7, 1961
S&H Low Altitude Flight Planning Chart
New York Sectional, expired Jan 7, 1971
Boston Sectional, unknown expiration date
Albany Sectional, unknown expiration date
The November 1968 AIM
The 1968 Federal Aviation Regulations

New Hampshire Airport Directory
His Logbook

I've italicized the ones I find the most awesome, but they are all cool. Very great present.

Oh, man, I bet that logbook has some stories to tell...

Hey, snap a few pics if you get a chance, it would be cool to see some of that stuff.

You got quite a nice collection there.

Cool stuff. My dad showed me his WW2 flight training log when he spent all of 1.5 months in flight school. When he died it was no where to be found. I really wanted that.
