Best Aviation museum

Here in Denver Wings Over The Rockies at the former Lowry USAF base is very good. The Exploration Of Flight on the south side of KAPA is worth a look and has two ATDs (Redbird FMX1000 and Fly The Sim) and a Redbird Crosswind device.

The museum down at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs is well worth a trip. They have a 121 in the USAF command and control configuration that you can walk through. Imagine AWACS but with plotting boards and grease pencils.

KPUB Pueblo, CO used to have a nice outdoor museum that also included trains. Restaurant was nice a nice and FBO had really good cookies too.

Cape Canaveral is double dipped in awesome sauce.

The US Army Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL is a great way to spend a day.

Several ham and pilot folk have raved about the museum in Hutchinson, KS but we have not made it over there yet.

If you want to step back in time, Moton Field in Tuskegee Alabama. The place has been "renovated" to look like the 40's, all the way down to the desks, telephones and desktop fans.

New England Air Museum, near Bradley Airport... in the Hartford CT / Springfield MA area. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Air Force museum Dayton
Navy at Pensacola
Air and space at Dulles
Warner Robbins Georgia
New England air museum Connecticut

Another museum in Pensacola: The boyhood home of the late General "Chappie" James has been turned into a small museum. Its on my bucket list.
