Best all around plane?

I thought maintenance pigs were not allowed ?

all bonanaza owners average your last 3 annuals costs, and give us the number

There is no one best airplane. Everything about aviation is a compromise. There are however lots of great airplanes. Here is my list of great GA S/E airplanes in no particular order:

C-182,182RG,210, PA-28-235, PA-32-300 300R (no T-tails) BE-33/35/36, SR-22, RV-4,6,7,8,10.

There are a few others, but this catches most of them.

I vote for the skyline for the best all-around. It really is the equivalent of the old pick-em-up trucks or station wagon.

However, for a one pilot airplane, with maybe one pax - you just can't beat a Mooney.

170kts out of the RV10 - and you don't have to push it.
Plus T/O and landing distances absolutely demolish anything else people have listed save the Comanche 400 - which burns, uh, 21 gallons an hour at 75%. Not exactly low fule burn.

50+knots faster though...B):cheerswine:

Helio,c-185,cherokee 6.The helio and 185 would have the luxury of skis and floats if needed.
