I know plenty of you have been to Bessie's Diner already, but I just wanted to put in a PIREP because they're now open for dinner on Friday and Saturday! (Was formerly a breakfast-lunch place only that closed at 2, now stays open until 7 PM those two days.) It doesn't seem like the word has gotten out about the extended hours yet, as it was dead tonight - And Bessie's is usually packed to the gills on a fair-weather weekend day like today.

It's a great place to corrupt the next generation:

BTW, they now have a delicious poblano ranch for dipping the onion rings in. Yum.
 
@ArrowFlyer86, my daughter, and myself ate there at around 3pm last Saturday. I was pretty excited to get excellent eggs Benedict and coffee deep in the afternoon.

I’ll have to try it!

You mention it was “dead” - I was up yesterday in the Manitowoc/Sheboygan/WestBend area, and the skies were amazingly empty. Looking at the weather, I expected the patterns to be packed and full of planes…..???

So maybe I'm not crazy...
I told Jim that we were too late to get food there, but then called and confirmed w/them that on a Saturday they're open til 7. It was news to me!

Also, I should see if they have any frequent-diner cards since that is my Go-To spot :cool:
If you plan another trip down there LMK and I'd be happy to pop up and meet you there.

Same! I was really surprised at how little traffic there was. A Cub at ETB giving rides, one other plane at JVL, and a couple of flight school planes doing training flights. Super weird for such a nice day at this time of year to not have the skies buzzing!

I need more details about the fish fry, I love it, but I’m picky as heck. I prefer the cod!
