I have a Bendix King VHF Com KY97A that works perfectly in all regards except the small, inner turning knob changes frequency only intermittently. The knob seems secure on the shaft. When turned, there is a tactile and audible click. Sometimes the frequency display changes and sometimes it does not. I'm pretty certain that the display and frequency are in sync so if the disply does not change the frequency also does not change.
Does anyone have any experience with a similar issue on this or the KY96A? Any idea of what it might cost to repair it if it is a simple tuner failure?
It's long out of warranty and in an Experimental aircraft, so I might even pull the top off and take a look.
