Pilot walked away with just a few scratches. Said he believes it was fuel starvation but doesn't know how yet.

The way the Facebook post reads it sounds like this is the only Belite Chipper that exists.

It was the prototype but I think there are a few others under construction.

James says in this video (6:30) that no customer completions were reported yet. Several people are building. So this was the factory prototype and the only example flying.

I can see why - using 2 standard tanks in each wing and a lap tank, but ugh. I hope customers aren't building them like that.

Wonder why he went around. Lake Hoods strip is plenty long I’ve been in and out of there many times in a Caravan. Glad he’s ok.
