That depends on where you live. Around here (in an urban centre), arriving in a pickup truck would be far more effective.

I somehow doubt that.

Well, granted that wouldn't apply to urban centres in Texas , but it does as you move more towards the northeast. People in urban cores like Manhattan, downtown Toronto, etc. tend to interpret a pickup truck as "redneck" (which is unfortunate, both because "redneck" is a stupid stereotype, and because there are still legit reasons to own a pickup truck in a big city, e.g. if you're a contractor).
