Sorry, no idea. I know of an actual real AME who can do a real medical. Never tried for a state-licensed physician.

Do you mean that a BasicMed medical is somehow a "faux" (or otherwise not-real) medical?
Also, have no idea about the AME you're referring to, or any others around Austin (I'm on the other side of the country), but some AMEs will do BasicMed exams as well.
