If anyone is looking for some great basic aerobatic training I would like to recommend Jim Alsip of Dylan Aviation down in Indiantown FL. I called him on the phone and made arrangement's to drive down to his hangar flight school and do a course.

Jim is very professional, but at the same time a very nice and fun guy to fly with. It was obvious after his ground school that this guy knew how to teach and make the info stick in your head.

We made 5 flights during the course and I was converted from apprehensive pilot
to a very confident flyer who was competent and capable to do basic aerobatics
in my Decathlon.

Friend of mine did the emergency course with Alsip and enjoyed it. Though my friend says he (my friend) made the (common) mistake of trying to do too much in one day.

$500 deposit????
All the years I have been flying I never heard of that.

He has obviously become weary of people expressing interest in his services and then canceling.

I would have no problem the deposit. Especially if he would let me to use the deposit later, if something came up and I had to cancel my initial engagement.

In my business (motorcycle training) we take ALL the money up front.
