Barrett-Jackson to auction custom T182T

Good GA PR to sell it there.... probably go low though, if at all.

Looks like a perfect product promotion for Cessna.....

If it does anything, it will draw attention to GA as Speed TV covers about 70% of the auction LIVE and their audience is well known to have ample income...

I was there a couple of years ago and they had a 182 and a Corvalis parked outside the main tent and they had ALOT of foot traffic looking at the toys.... They taxied them over at 2AM from the Scotsdale airport..

Two of the main people in Barrett/Jackson are Amy Assiter and her husband, Spanky.... They are HUGE airplane nuts. They have donated tens, if not hundreds of thousands to the EAA over the years...

I know when the time comes to unload my plane so it can go to greener pastures I will try to get onto their auction list.. Except I will land it in the parking lot.. to hell with taxiing it over from an airport...;)

I saw a similarly painted airplane last summer. Apparently Cessna has been doing this and flying them around as a publicity stunt. Don't know if it's working or not, but the planes do look cool.
