Barb,

I stopped by 4DO to get fuel for my trip home form Lansing. They have the cheapest fuel around and were just 7 miles from KLAN. I also took a pic for the CONUS Challenge. When I did that the FBO manager who was fueling my plane asked what that was all about. he then pointed to a brown and white Tri-pacer that was taxing for take off and said that a woman got out of that plane and did the same thing. It sure looked liked your plane. Was that you?

I did not see that airport targeted by anyone of the web site so I submitted the claim just in case it was not you. Here is my pic of 4DO.

Barb, you were short changed.

No, not short changed, just One Short! :D

Dang I didn't realize we missed each other by so little. I was just passing through and try to sweep up anything within a few miles of my course. I never know for sure where I'm going till just before I leave. I fly what ever direction has good weather.
The fuel prices there are pretty good, $3.45 a gallon.

Yeah we missed each other by minutes! I was over at Lansing and stopped by for the fuel prices as well.

I was not sure so when I saw it was not claimed I submitted it, but you were there first. If Nick want to remove my claim and give it to you I am ok with that.

Beautiful thing is, even if an airport is claimed, you can submit a "visit" also - so Barb can submit it too!

Hey, the object of this challenge is to get all the airports claimed, it doesn't matter who does the claiming. I think it is better to get it registered than to sit around and hope someone else is going to.

Besides, I can use all the help I can get with finishing Michigan. I just got done writing a check to pay for last month's Avgas. :hairraise:

Remember, this is supposed to be FUN!!! :goofy:

Hi Barb
Have you been to Dalton yet, a nice little airport in Flushing. If you haven't when you do go at the north end of the runway and then west about 2000 ft is a great Italian deli and pizza place called Sorrentoo's. Some of the best Italian food I have ever had. I'm not talking of the coney at the end of the 18/36.

Regards Mike

I've been to Flushing/Dalton a few times but never to the Deli. Hmm, good reason to return.

If you want a seaplane rating, check out Northwood Aviation at Cadillac. They are good. They do ski training also.

Hi Barb
I have a place not too far from CAD, and that is the plan stay at the house in Arciada and drive over to CAD for the training. Hopefully I will be able to do this in the spring, right now work at GM is very busy.

Regards Mike
