I have a motorhead friend who buys/fixes/restores old American and exotic cars. Recently he acquired a 55 T-Bird owned originally and for many years by the former test pilot Allen Jack Warfield, aka "Baltimore Jack."

Just wondering if anyone knew anything colorful or unusual about the guy. My friend says an interesting history will help him choose whether to restore the car completely or simply fix it up and flip it.

Hello,
My Father In Law was Col. Jack Warfield (‘Baltimore Jack’) & I sold him the TBird.
It had been left to his son/my husband, who passed away suddenly, but the car had been sitting for quite some time & needed some work.
I understand that the guy (I believe his name was Joe) did refurbish the car & get it running again.
Would love to see some pics of the finished job.
That car was Jack’s baby, and went to many family events, including our wedding, which my husband & I left separately from, bc he had to drive the car home & I drove myself home in my Ford Escort & my wedding dress.
It had been the Warfield family since 1962, when Jack bought it from another AF pilot friend, & drove it back Baltimore from California.
I have lots of info & stories
on Jack.
Just discovered this forum today while goggling my FIL’s name.
If you have an interest or recent pics of the car, please feel free to message me
Thank you,
Dinah Wimbrow-Warfield
