We've got a bumper crop of voles, that's why we want the owls.

I've been playing Barred Owl calls in the evenings, no joy so far. It's been a while since we've heard any in the distance but we'll keep trying.

Believe it or not, I’ve had success with ultrasonic mole repellers, which are allegedly effective on voles too.

We've got them too. It's a battle of superior numbers and the voles are able to overwhelm our ground-based defenses. Thus the need for air support.

And here is an awesome video of bald eagles fishing, taken two years ago in the bay. Impressive birds. Unlike Osprey, eagles can't take off from water, so they've mastered the snatch-and-grab from the air.

Vulture is just a buzzard with a V tail.
