Can someone help me out with a DF steer?

Where can I find the requirements for an ID badge for part 121 and 135 operators? NATA offers a service but I know they can be produced in-house and obviously they have to comply with something. Ie, must have an expiration data, font size, photo placement, ext.

I've exhausted my google fu and can't find a list of requirements for aircrew badges. Anyone researched this before?

Really.

I did an image search for aircrew identification and came up with this:

Check TSA regulations. I believe they are controlling the media.

You may run into need to know issues.

Why do you hate america?

If you aren't badged, how do I know you're not a terrorist?

(*bam* That's how you troll.)

Inspector General report summary: Airport badging is a mess.

TSA's Oversight of the Airport Badging Process Needs Improvement

I'm not interested in SIDA badges. I'm looking for the company ID badging requirements. If you look at a Denver based united pilot he'll have a Denver SIDA badge to get him on the ramp and through gates and stuff and he'll have a company badge that has his picture, the word CREW in caps and red, ect.

The company badge is the one I'm looking for. The regs say how large the letters have to be and photo placement, expiration requirements etc. I do believe the TSA is controlling but can't seem to find a link anywhere.

It might be a need to know issue in which case where would one go for the info? Think a POI should be able to point one in the right direction?

Well mine is on a standard white plastic ID type card

Photo is 1.5 by 1.25

Under the photo is the company name / logo
Under that employe number
Under that first name
Under that last name
Under that barcode

Text is 1/4 inch tall and black.

I think this might be the case. I'd start with the TSA.

If you're talking about a company ID for access to company-controlled areas, the company makes their own rules. If they're a DoD contractor or the like, and there are DoD security requirements, they will have to comply with those, but otherwise, they are entirely on their own to determine badging requirements for access to company spaces. So if you want to walk into United Airlines HQ or a United Airlines crew lounge or a United Airlines operations office, United Airlines decides what badge you need.

Nah, I'm positive there is controlling guidance on it. I've seen it before but can't remember where. The font size and picture size / location stand out in my mind as being on there with many other things.

Thought someone here might be familiar...
