I recently learned that Mr. Ed Cresap died a few days ago. Mr. Cresap is known in this area for being a fine aviator, a fair and friendly DPE, and most of all, a gentleman of the old school. Frankly, I didn't know him all that well; but he had a wonderful reputation at BWI, FME, W29, ESN, etc. I did do my private checkride with him, and he made the experience both relaxing and memorable. I was looking forward to doing the IR checkride with him.

He will be missed.

Sad news. Old school aviation enthusiasts are hard to come by. I'm sure he will be missed.

One option for your checkride is Dave Summerfield @ KCBE. He's falls under the Baltimore FSDO, a nice guy, and a great aviator. A checkride with him is a great learning experience. I've used him for my PP, IR, COM, and CFII.
