Please help. I’m confused as to which probes are faulty. I have the GEM 602.

Cylinder #3: from the bottom, the scale is dark then one bar is lit at 350-400. This tells me the EGT probe is bad.

Cylinders #1 & 2: the scale is lit from the bottom to approx 350-400, with no blank bar in the middle and nothing lit above. Does this mean those two CHT probes are faulty?

Cylinder #4: is working correctly.

In other words, do I need 2 CHT & 1 EGT probe?

Thanks!

I don't look at the bars. I scroll through and read each temperature individually. I'm not sure if you can do that with the 602 or not. Off the top of my head now I cannot seem to remember which monitor I have, but it is an older GEM..... I want to say 610.

You could have some bad probes, or you could have a degree of burnout of the plasma bars in the display. I did get cylinder #1 reading 1800 degrees all the time, even with the engine off. So I just bought a new probe, and hopefully that is the issue.

I'm not sure how much that helps you, if not hopefully a mechanic who knows something can step in and comment:)
