A gear up landing with a subsequent fire? Inflight fire and emergency landing?

Glad everyone is OK. Sucks to lose one's aircraft, especially a warbird.

I haven’t seen any more details, but based on the worst area of fire damage, my guess is gear up landing generated enough heat heat to ignite the smoke oil tank in the baggage compartment.

Don’t know if the gear up was expected or not. Engine marking power when it hit.
 
Hate seeing warbirds go down. They are so precious. You want to see them flying but eventually we will lose them.
