After not having logged any time since 3/19... of last year, and a few wx cancellations over the last 3 weeks, I finally got back up in the air today! Great day, a little hazy and bumpy, but boy did it feel good. I'm pretty surprised -- and so was my instructor -- at how little rust there was... My turns around a point and pattern work were kinda sloppy, but everything else just came back pretty naturally (2 ehh-decent landings included). Even the radio felt comfortable (and with one of the active runways closed at MDW, things were a little more hectic than I'm used to).

All in all, it's a pretty satisfying feeling to know that the most trouble I had came in trying to get the seatbelt buckled and the seat adjusted. :D With any luck, I'll be able to count myself amongst you certificate holders by the end of the summer!

Get on it! Good to hear you're back in the air. I've been trying to shuffle around finances so I can get flights in (got less than 10 hrs last year :( ) and I've got a BFR in a few months... Really need to burn more holes in the sky myself ;) Good luck Slappy!

Welcome back to the 3 dimensional world Rev.

I keep pulling back on my steering wheel as I get closer to the cars in front of me on the interstate, then realize my error and become horribly depressed. Do I need to report that on my next medical? :)

LOL. I think we can qualify that as situational depression :)

No, but your political persuasion should be! I keed. I keed!

Nice Rev, glad to hear you got up.

Now get up more. Flying a lot will give ya less time to post. And that's a good thing, for everyone!

Thanks, and I guess I can't disagree with you there. :D

Rev, I'm glad you're gettin' it up again. Or, something like that.

Enjoy the flying! :)
