I owned a 55 baron and a 56tc just a few years ago. My 55 would push 190 kts at 10,000
ft. And burn just 22-23 an hour.

Was it gutted/stripped?

As a current B55 owner, those numbers look a little dreamy and definitely better than book.

The 55 was a '64 model. It was lighter than the later ones. No boots. It would easily do book speeds and then some. Wish I still had it. Person who bought it wrecked it. It is no more.
