I recently purchased a B-Kool unit at Sun and Fun for my Cessna 310Q, which has a 28 volt system. When I tried the unit in the 310 after getting back to my home base airport, it did not seem to want to work. I called Bob Stephens, the owner of B-Kool operating systems, and he ran me through some checks to determine what the problem was. Long story short, we discovered that when my panel had been redone, the cigar lighters had been stepped down to 12 volts to accommodate devices like the I-Pad. So ... although the purchasing error was entirely mine, Bob assured me that he would gladly exchange the unit. My only cost was a small shipping charge to exchange the units, and Bob was certainly helpful, and most definitely interested in keeping me a satisfied customer. I am now in possession of the right unit for my Cessna 310, and would highly recommend B-Kool portable cooling systems to anyone thinking of buying a cooling system for their aircraft.
