Touchdown! Greaser!
The new "Graphical Airmet" note on the front page of the AW site led me to find the Testbed page, where NOAA plays with new products.
Some interesting things there, under development.
TAF Graphics - Neat rollover view of TAF data... easy to see how the weather is expected to change (Diana would find this useful today for the weather in Iowa)
Short Range Ensemble Forecasts" - Another useful one for Diana... click the Next button several times and you'll see the probability is that the LIFR over Iowa won't lift for another 6-9 hours, if I'm reading it right.
Aviation Forecast Discussion - click an area, see what they're thinking will occur and why
Mobile Weather - This is great for your cell phone or iPhone!
Lightning probability - move the mouse over the map to highlight a green block area, then click
Much more there, these are just some of the interesting things they're playing with in their sandbox.
