Aviation Science Technology Program Director
Location: The position may be housed at the ENMU Portales campus or the branch campus at Roswell, New Mexico, according to program needs. Governance and budget control of the program as well as the tenure review process is based in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences housed on the Portales campus.
Deadline Date: Position is open until filled.
Date Available: August 20, 2007
Job Summary: Teaching responsibilities will include 9 credit hours (3 classes) per semester, which reflects a .25 release for administrative duties. Summer duties will be negotiated with candidate.
Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in an appropriately related field is preferred, although professionally qualified individuals with a record of quality experience and a Master's degree or equivalent are encouraged to apply. Examples of appropriately related disciplines include, but are not necessarily limited to Aviation Science, Aeronautics, Systems Management, Aeronautical Engineering, and Aviation Safety. A strong background in aviation with significant flight experience in multiple platforms is highly desirable. Aviation related instructional experience is required. Candidate must have knowledge and experience with aircraft design, aviation law, safety, management, and FAA regulations relating to an Aviation Science Program.
Working Conditions: This is a 12-month administrative position with faculty status.
