I’m having trouble getting renters insurance. Are there any loopholes to get around this? I just need to hour build and I’m not sure what options I have in order to fly.

Can I get insurance non aviation related to cover?

Do I always have to fly with a CFI?

Do schools require renters insurance?

Can I get on a friends policy?

It's really called non owners insurance. For about $500,000 liability, $50,000 hull it runs close to $800 a year. That includes single and multi engine land. Sea plane rates go up. Single only may come down.

It depends on who you are renting from, some do, some don't, but it's a good idea to have it. AOPA, avemco, and others have it.
