I have a naive question, I am building my own my aviation mic and I would like to connect this

Now this is the wire they have in common as some of you may know
My question is when I solder the two middle wires together will that cause interference since the wires of the outer part will be exposed to them? (I hope this makes sense) if anyone has done this before I'd greatly appreciate any advice on how to connect them. Thanks!
