With fuel prices going through the roof around SoCal - 5.60 and rising at my home field, leave to Big Bear (highest DA airport around these parts) to have some of the cheapest gas around - currently 4.67 for 100LL....yes, I know.....calling 4.67 cheap is sad enough.

'Well gee, I'd like to top off.....but I can't!'

It's winter, why can't you top off?
If it's baggage, ship it via ground freight.
