July 2 – Wagoner, OK – Whitehorn Cove Airport (OL20) Independence Day Celebration Fly-in featuring three live bands and TNT car show. The new Whitehorn Cove Marina restaurant is reported to be a wonderful eating establishment and a great hundred dollar hamburger destination. Catch the free shuttle from airport to restaurant. For additional information phone the marina 918-462-3311.
July 2 -- Vera, OK – Sky Haven AirPark / Sellmeyer Field (OK01) FreeHamburger & Hot Dog Fly-in – Independence Day weekend event celebration the 50th anniversary of Ron Dunn’s solo flight. OK01 is a 4,4000 foot smooth grass strip north of Tulsa and South of Bartlesville. RSVP to 918-814-8905.
July 2 – Beaumont, KS – Beaumont Hotel Airport (SN07) MonthlyFly-in Breakfast Land on the nice grass runway and taxi right up to the front of the hotel. Good food and many aircraft. Contact: gm@hotelbeaumontks.com or Phone: 620-843-2422
July 7 -- Flippin, AR – Valley Airpark (61AR) Monthly fly-in breakfast 8:30 - 9:30 first Thursday of the month. Pilots eat free. Approach mid field from north to a right downwind for 10 or a left downwind to 28. Information: Ed Ludtke edwardludtke@gmail.com
July 16 - Cookson, OK – Tenkiller Airpark(44M) – Pancake Breakfast 8:00-11:00AM sponsored by EAA Chapter 1040 – Cookson Jubilee Music Festival adjacent to the field running Friday through Sunday with main event Saturday evening. Camping permitted on the field with showers and restrooms available. Cookson Log Cabin Motel nearby with very reasonable rates. Motel phone: 918-457-4116. Fuel available on the field.
