Latest News
Some FAA MIDO’s do not even know their own FAA Bilateral Agreements
In 2015 the FAA and EASA signed the TIP Revision 5 Reciprocal Agreement on TSO products. You can read it on the faa.gov website and EASA also.

It is the agreement signed between EASA and FAA making TSO’s valid in both worlds without having to do individual validations. It means an FAA TSO is fine in EASA countries and EASA ETSO is equivalent with no additional paperwork in FAA jurisdictions

Here is notification from EASA to Aveo directly that the FAA and EASA reached this agreement in June of 2015 and it has gone into full effect, so there is no need to file validation of our ETSOs with FAA any further, even though for many Galactica lights we hold actual FAA certifications too.

This is relevant for GALACTICA CERTIFIED LIGHTS produced by Aveo. It has nothing to do with uncertified experimental aircraft lights of the Aurora series, which are not claimed to be certified by Aveo at any point. AVEO GALACTICA SERIES PRODUCTS CARRY EITHER AN EASA ETSO or and FAA TSO as can be seen in the certification approvals which are displayed on our website and shown right here below. On the Aveo website, you may easily locate as it is displayed prominently on the Galactica product individual page if you scroll down, and also on the Downloads tab for that particular product. If you purchase an Aurora Series experimental light you are NOT BUYING A CERTIFIED LIGHT. THERE IS A REASON AURORA LIGHTS ARE INEXPENSIVE AS THEY HAVE NOT GONE THROUGH THE TSO PROCESS.

Dear Mr Nielsen, dear Georg

Please be aware the US-EU BOB Reciprocal Agreement on TSO Products has been signed and that TIP Rev 5 is now in full force.

Best regards.
