Automatic Collision Avoidance System

This is a system that NASA is (or has) developed for fighter aircraft and General Aviation alike.

Has anyone seen anything like this on the market that a GA owner could purchase? Even if the system is not "ready", I think the risk (based on watching the video) is outweighed by the potential gain sufficient that the FAA should allow the Owner/ Pilot to have it installed in a certified GA airplane.

Great idea. I would bet the experimental world will come up with something first, then it will filter into Certified.


My system has a chick with a British accent yelling at me to "Pull Up". She warns first "Terrain Ahead" , then starts screaming at me, "Pull Up" Pull Up. Pretty funny really, but you cannot ignore it.
