Final Approach
STEC 60-2 (rate based, via turn coordinator).
Heading, Nav, and Altitude hold work just fine.
The auto pilot senses when trim is needed and annunciates when up and down trim is needed, which I do manually now with the trim wheel, since the malfunction below started. This works just fine.
I also have electric trim.
And I have an Altitude Pre-Selector. When I toggle from Manual to Auto on the Vertical Speed (which then reads the Altitude Pre-Selector), I get a runaway up trim. This used to work fine, now it tries to kill me.
What’s broke?
