Where: KLOT (Northside hangars)
Donation: $10 A good old fashion Wednesday Night Cookout. Fly-In or Drive-In.
If flying in, let the tower know you're heading to the north side. If driving, access off of Airport Road via Route 53, follow the signs and park north of the hangars in the grass area. Again... NO PARKING on the side facing the runway. Only tenants with planes facing runway 9-27 may park there, NO EXCEPTIONS! You may drop people off but must park in the grass on the north. Please park far enough back from the blacktop to leave room for planes to taxi by.

I think I'll be driving. Main landing light went out in dad's plane. So decided I'll spring for LED's. He's color blind so night flight has never been a concern for him. Not sure if they'll be here or if I'll have time to get them on.

C81 at night is.... challenging. Inop tri color vasi. And "non standard" edge lights.

This was a fun trip!

Nice tower controllers, laidback atmosphere in the air and on the ground.

Good food. Met @Humpty and a few other nice folks!

Got some swag…for flying long distance (lol!) - an insulated mug with a Chicago sectional, and a bottle of Plane Perfect!

They apparently have these get-togethers Weds eves. Also some bigger flyin Oct 4.

I learned at 0C8 Cushing field. Night flying was a big challenge off that grass field!
