Attention: Andrew Stanley

I've been on the Maine Island ferries. They are the life blood of those little islands. In most cases, these islands have no other way to move people and cargo back and forth. Few of them have an active runway.
And priority is given to locals. I recall once being the last "visitor" on the last ferry of the day headed to the mainland. I kept hoping no one else would show up.

In AK, they would get the feds to build a bridge, for 1 billion dollars. Or a hovercraft.

I would consider that opportunity if I was ten years younger. Maine can be a tough place in the winter for us old timers.
