I'm having trouble attaching a picture to my message. Any detailed suggestions? I did read the FAQ, but still can't figure it out.

Welcome to PoA.

I suspect you need to first post at least 5 messages to prove to the software that your links and attachments can be trusted.
 
Jim's got it. There is a participation minimum to earn some additional posting priveledges. This is to keep fly by spammers from polluting the place.
