At 8:15 a.m. EDT Atlantis will encounter the effects of the earth's atmosphere. Light winds at KSC right down RWY33. We have NASA channel on at work right now. Will be exciting around 8:30 when it glides in for the last time.
 
Just caught it on TV before I left for work. I'm not up on what NASA has planned for the near future, but with these shuttles retiring, I hope there is something more than politicians' hot air over the horizon.

I wouldn't be telling the kids that they could be "astronauts" when they grow up anymore... :frown3:
