AT-6 Formation Flight

Well, Leslie and I just attended the third annual Gala for the Illinois Aviation Museum at Bolingbrook (http://www.illinoisaeromuseum.com/index.html). While there, we won an auction for a "Formation Flight in Two AT-6's" by Rick Siegfried and Mike Gillian. I have to say, we're really looking forward to this! We both got to ride in a North American Harvard (the non-US version of the AT-6) while in New Zealand and had a blast.

We'll certainly be bringing along cameras, and will post pictures/video.

The downside is, of course, that I'm pretty sure we won't be able to afford the trip we had planned to Palm Springs this November. Hopefully we can keep the leg to Corpus Christie. Additionally, other flying we had hoped to do may be curtailed. I'm still hoping to make it to Ames at the end of the month, maybe with Barry's assistance. And Leslie's still working on her instrument ticket. The money keeps going out!

But flying is worth it!
