Really, real ATC while flying the sim? In the final episode of this 3-part series we request a pop-up IFR clearance from a real professional controller (PilotEdge), declare an emergency, shoot the RNAV-F approach, and get our copilot/patient and passengers safely to Aspen. What are your experiences and opinions on shooting approaches in a home simulator? Have you used real-person ATC with the sim? Declared an emergency in the sim and/or real life?
Thanks for your insight and enjoy the video!

I've renewed my Pilotedge subscription while on lock-down. I've not declared an emergency on the network but I have had a comms failure. Pilotedge is one of the best deals in aviation in my opinion.

I'm also a big fan of PilotEdge. I asked the founder Keith if I should give the controllers a heads-up on my "planned" emergency (e.g. as Remarks in the Flight Plan)... he said, no, just work it like it was real. What a great service PilotEdge is!
Thanks for watching!
