Aspen and G430/GNS 650 nav data

So I understand the Aspen has its own Nav data?

I thought it just relayed the nav data from your 430/650 garmins?

Jeppessen wants money for both Garmin and Aspen Nav data.

I originally thought that the Aspen only held Terrain data for synthetic vision.

My aspen gets its nav data from my 530....not sure if all of them are that way but I know with mine I have to select GPS1 and then it spits the data from the 530.

Aspen has map data but it isn't a navigator.
