how would you handle this when you are about to spend $540.?


I, the purchaser, and Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co. agree that the products listed on my order are custom made and/or special order items and as such are considered non-cancelable and non-returnable. I have identified these products as correct for their application and understand that exchange, credit, or refund for these parts will not be possible after the product has been ordered by Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co. from their supplier. I am aware there may be additional shipping charges. If we cannot drop ship your special order, then freight charges from the factory to our warehouse may be added to your invoice.

On a B&C alternator WTH? They don't even stock the item, they drop ship from B&B Specialities factory.
 
I would order it direct if possible

if I order direct from B&C they want a gear drive assembly mailed to them to install. it requires 1 nut and cotter key. and adds to the price.
 
Like where? Customer support will echo the policy.
