Artex ELT345 code 4 failure

My Artex ELT345 displays an error code 4 when tested, meaning bad load or faulty ELT. Table 6 of the maintenance manual gives a half dozen reasons why this might be, and until I receive my 50 ohm dummy load from Amazon to test it, I'm wondering if anyone else has had this error code in their ELT345 and how you managed it. If the ELT output turns out to be good, I'll next look for a problem in the antenna/cable system.
