I just signed up here, and am Colorado, west of the Front Range based. I grew tired of the so-called "soaring" website I used to frequent with it's low-informaton, anti-American, parrots and lemmings that i used to frequent.
I appreciate my European glass feather weight 35:1 steed* with it's simple two-stroke self-launcher. Unlike before. I can soar on weekday afternoons. Not requiring a winch operator or tow pilot.
I appreciate P-FLARM, RASP, BLIPMAPs, and SuperNetto. But, i also live in an area with spotty 5G and . . . s . . . l . . . o . . . w . . . 3G coverage. My hobby is soaring not postong text about soaring.
*Not that i wouldn't love to try out one of those 8x as expensive, 2x as heavy, decades newer, 50:1 HPSLs with the four-cycle Wankel engines. I console myself by thinking of all of those marginal lift days.
