So, we've seen the Dynon & G5 mini-PFDs, the G500 & Vizion autopilots... are IFR approach GPSes next? Or will they always be a 10+ AMU item?
 
How'd you swing half off MSRP?

Maybe ForeFlight 10 will have approach capability for "situational awareness" and then Appareo will make some hardware for them...
 
I kinda doubt it. What we're seeing become cheap now, has always appeared in the experimental market first.

And if you look at the experimental market - They're all flying with the same expensive Garmin stuff we all are.
 
I think it will be awhile before IFR GPS falls under the NORSEE umbrella.
 
Sarasota avionics disclaims the GTN 625 is purchased at said discount only as part of a G3X bundle, which is an exAB only scenario, and still incurs a total upfront cost higher than 5AMU if all you're interested in is the GPS unit.
