Apps getting more expensive?

This has been an ongoing topic for a bit. You could always get an electronic version of the FAA materials. All of the app developers realized the opportunity and developed the apps to take advantage of the electronic nature of these updates. The FAA saw revenues decrease because the paper buyers were going away and they were charging very little for the electronic version.

In response the FAA is anticipated to increase the cost of the electronic version to offset the revenue loss from paper subscriptions diminishing.
