Does anyone know of an apple orchard near any airport? We usually spend an afternoon in October at a local orchard, but thought it would be fun to fly to a new one. Ideally within 200 nm of SE Michigan.

If "near" refers to time (on a geologic timescale) as opposed to distance, then you need to consider O'Hare. Its identifier is ORcharD. And yes, that is really where it comes from. Probably not what you're looking for, though! :)

Sylvania is about 2 miles from Apple holler on the IL/WI border.

Got to be one up near Traverse City/Frankfurt Mi..

Too bad you don't live in Western Washington. Wax Orchards (WA69) is an apple orchard with a grass runway and they offer a mighty fine cider this time of year.

Uncle Johns Cider Mill in St. Johns, MI has a grass runway next to it. I've seen a few folks come in and out of there for doughnuts. There is also one (sort of) close to Adrian's airport.
