Anyone ever use one? Care to give me the skinny on it? Have a link to a manual?
I'm going to be ferrying a plane with one next week. Trying to figure out if I should use this thing or try and get a handheld GPS.

Too bad I don't have one. Got one I can borrow for a week or so?
I'm going from KLWM to KSAF. That's Lawrence, MA to Santa Fe, NM.
 
What you flying?

Mine is kind of a relic but you are welcome to it if you want.
 
we've got a II Morrow Loran in one of our 172s. Its not hard to use, the manual will give you the skinny. Most of our renters are afraid of it because it doesnt have a direct to button. to navigate (from memory) hit mode until "North American Database" then hit enter. turn big knob until "Enter Airport ID" then hit enter. turn big knob for each letter, pressing enter after each, once ID is in, hit enter until the rest of the spaces are empty, then itll show you the name of the airport. Press the To button to go to it. the press the From button twice. Now it will navigate you from where you are at to the place you want to go.
