Pre-takeoff checklist
Being a forward thinking owner & wanting to get 500. back from the Gov. I did my homework & decided on the Stratus ESB transponder. Being in S Fla., we have a myriad of repair / avionics shops here. By accident, I read a great review on Treasure Coast Avionics, based on KFPR. The owner Cathy was very cordial & easy to work with. She gave me a great quote & we planned the install.
I tied my Stratus S2 into the system for in/out.
Treasure Coast is not the biggest avionics shop in the area, but showed me they are the BEST. They are Garmin dealers & are able to work on most all systems.
My compliance flight home to KFXE went smooth, except that the ATC controllers Never heard of ADS-B & wanted info, from me ! The controller, even talked with a Center Manager & no was the answer. I flew the needed routes & manuvers & landed / tied down.
