Line Up and Wait
I have a TAS605 and am thinking of upgrading it to ADS-B IN i.e. TAS605A.
It needs a WAAS GPS input and currently I don't have a W box in the panel, so was going to install a GTX335 to get ADS-B OUT and with its W GPS option it would also do the TAS requirement.
Unfortunately Avidyne are not aware of any such working installations and neither is anyone else I have heard from...
Obviously I don't want to do it if it isn't going to work.
I have seen this sort of issue before e.g. my GTX330's ARINC429 pressure altitude would not feed the TAS605, so the connection had to wired in gray code from the KEA130A altimeter. Both Garmin and Avidyne would not get involved. I vaguely recall this was fixed at some point with a firmware upgrade but can't find the reference.
