Cleared for Takeoff
Soo, I was looking at this guys pictures of his restored A-65 Bowers Flybaby and I started thinking "man a Grumman Tiger would be great as a tailwheel."
Apparently others thought that airframe was a good candidate too and there's an STC for the AA-1A series to convert them. Those aircraft are still pretty rare to find I guess and that would be an aircraft I would seriously consider vying for.
My question is, have any of you flown, owned, rented, or spent any time with a converted 1A? How would you compare it to a Super Yankee? Anything to be aware of?
Know anyone selling one worth it's salt?
